The job description template is to give a “check-list-type” idea to prepare a customised job posting. Enhancing the quality and lowering cost of hiring entirely revolves on the job description.
Make it as precise and refined as possible. For further assistance, contact us.
Fine points for generating a Job Description Suggestion Company:
Introduce your company, products/ services and strengths.
Customise a part of the description to emphasise features related to the particular role. E.g., when advertising for a production job, highlight advanced machinery that you use or the best practices you follow. The idea is to encourage the right people, those who are looking for learning opportunities, challenges and higher responsibilities to apply.
(e.g. Developer, Accounts Receivable Executive, Front Office Manager)
Create a vivid description by adding a location tag and industry. “Warehouse Executive in Jebel Ali Free Zone, Dubai” is sure to attract more applications that a plain ” Warehouse Executive”.
(e.g. Sales/ Production/ HR/ Sourcing/ Accounts/ Finance/ Management/ Software etc.,)
Multiply job seekers’ interest. Stress on the role’s importance by adding “reports to…”/ “leads a team of…” The technique works for junior positions also; e.g. “Salesman for high end products” will score better with prospective employees.
This is the place for describing the critical goals set for the role and outcomes expected from the employee’s performance.
Profile the job as precisely as possible. If the brief is too broad, it would attract too many and not-so-relevant applications and if the definition is too narrow, it may discourage the good candidates.
(e.g. key responsibility for Sales Manager: “Achieve revenue targets”; for a Finance Manager: “Direct investment activities” and so on)
This is a very important column. Filling it in first in consultation with the concerned HOD will help all other columns such as the job brief, title, qualifications to fall in place automatically.
Include education, experience, niche skills if required. Make sure that there is a close match between the key responsibilities and the expected qualifications.
